Dell Latitude D600 - Network Controller Driver name / number

Aug 29, 2009 10:33AM PDT

I had to replace the hard drive on my Dell Latitude D600. I then re-loaded Windows XP Pro and thought I had a CD with all of the required drivers. I cannot connect to the internet. When I go into device manager; under other devices; the network controller is highlighted. It is telling me that the drivers for this device are not installed (code 2Cool. I need to know the name of this driver as it may be on the CD I have but I am such a novice I am missing it. Please remember, I cannot connect to the internet so I cannot access Dell's web site or a driver software (Driver Dectective,DriverMax, etc.) I just need the name and perhaps I can find it out purchase a disk to install.

Thank you for your help.

Notebook System Software

You must have skipped the Notebook system software. That must be installed first with the chipset drivers or all the other drivers will not install properly. Get the software from your download page at Dell Support. It's under System Utilities.
