Dell Latitude D600 Boot Problem

I have a few years old Dell Latitude D600 Laptop. It has a problem like wont boot up on pressing the on button. The on button illuminated but the computer just didn't load up. The 3 keyboard status lights and power light, harddisk light will be on for 2 3 seconds and then nothing. It some times boot up after loots of try. Can any one help?

Maybe good, maybe bad.

Good = Tell me about the cmos battery. Did you change it?

Bad = You put in a new one. See this forum sticky about what parts are in laptops.

Thanks for the message. I never chaged the cmos battery. Will update after changing it.
