Usually 2 items are needed. A chipset or system driver, then the sound card (or more acurately chipset) driver.
Dell.com should have these drivers and collecting them from all over can result in a mess.
I see the CHIPSET listed there as well as the Sound driver.
I have a Dell Latitude D505 laptop running Windows XP. I was low on disk space and used EasyCleaner dulicate option by Toni Arts, I deleted the duplicates and lost several important drivers (video, audio, network, wireless, ...). I managed to re-install the drivers from several places (Dell and Driver Guid) but unable to find driver for audio. Lattop does not recognizes the sound card. Can someone please tell me what types of sound cards is used in the Dell Latitutde D505? Thanks AA
