Dell Inspiron Screen Turn Off Key

Hello,
I own a Dell Inspiron 14" laptop with Windows 7 Home professional OS.
A day back, I accidentally changed some settings which made the SCREEN TURN OFF Key Non-functional. Also, when I change volume or screen brightness or set wi-fi On/Off via Function keys, Graphics on the screen are not displayed; though all keys work properly. I mean, Keys function normally, but I can't see that Volume scale or Brightness scale on my screen.
Pls help me to solve these problems.
