dell inspiron i3455 won't turn on

I have a dell inspiron i3455 and it won't turn on. When I press the power button the power button light is white, then blinks Amber 8 times, then repeats. I can't find the code that corresponds to the error code. Any ideas?

Since you can't find the code.

I'm going to skip looking for it as well. I'm sure you checked for a service manual and google.

When this happens you call Dell service and ask about it and how much to fix. If you didn't do what I thought you did, just say so.

I did look

I found a table of codes that only went to the 7th blink. 8th not described. Hoping a guru might land me a quick way to a solution or direction to go. I've avoided Dell CS because I'm sure the computer is out of warranty. Is Dell customer service good?

Here's the google.

In reply to: I did look appears to find priors but I was seeing if you tried that.

As to Dell service, here, all good but if it's the motherboard some folk take the hefty repair bill and use that to prove service is not good at all.

If you lose the motherboard today it can often be cheaper to get a new or refurb laptop.

The fix hit on that google says it's the LCD panel. This is NOT just the LCD but the entire lid assembly and LCD. In that assembly is the LCD and more parts. It doesn't tell us which part so it's the entire FRU.

You might, if given no option to repair try the service manual (if there is one) and take it apart to unplug and plug in all connections to and from the LCD assmebly and what's inside this part.
