About this. http://www.google.com/search?q=2WSX finds it's not a dell exclusive. I'm keeping explanation short to it's a column failure in the matrix. NOT an offer to detail how keyboards work.
1. Try an external keyboard. Pass = Good, it's not some trojan or keylogger infection.
2. Replace the laptop keyboard. Some can't bring themselves to do that and I love finding such a machine in the bargain bin. Worth every 50 bucks as I install a new keyboard.
3. Didn't fix it and item 1 passes = very bad news. The motherboard is shot.
4. Yes I skipped over the keyboard ribbon cable because the keyboards I get have a new one.

Yesterday, my 2WSX keys began acting up. When I press one of them, it performs other functions (e.g. - "s" turns up the volume), in addition to inserting a string of characters (e.g. - "s" inserts either fsdal-32 OR jkl;\).
I found other posts regarding the 2WSX keys not functioning at all, and one where a "space" was inserted before or after a key. I did not find anything about my issue.
Any thoughts o suggestions on why this is occurring or what to do?
Thanks!
