Dell Inspiron 8200 PCMCIA Problems with inserting 2 Cards

I have tried to insert 2 PCMCIA cards, but canot do so as all cards available are 'built up' on the PCMCIA platform, which means that when I insert a card in the upper slot I cannot fit a card into the 'underneath' slot. Likewise, if I insert the card into the lower PCMCIA port I am unable to insert a PCMCIA card into the upper slot.
Thus, as I have failed to get a PCMCIA 'built down' from its 'platform' to allow me use both ports I consider the manner in which the ports are constructed render them 'useless' from a practical viewpoint!
Any guidance or direction would be welcome.

Well known issue. Not limited to Dell laptops.

What I had to do was keep shopping for cards until I found what fit.

Today I rarely need said card since almost all we used to add is builtin. So the issue faded.
