I use USB adapters in such cases. There are hundreds of models so here's the last one I bought.

It didn't require me to find the drivers. I connected the laptop with Ethernet (one time only) and let Windows find the drivers, install and then I could switch to WiFi.
For about a week now I've gotten an issue of my wifi dropping. It goes from normal to connected with no internet (no longer detecting any other wifi signals) to then no wifi altogether. When I go into the settings, there's no option for wifi, and going into device manager shows the wifi adapter either working fine, hidden, or completely missing. Its happened quite a few times and I've tried all the solutions I've seen online (reinstalling the drivers, clean installing latest drivers, installing previous versions of the drivers, updating to the latest windows, doing a clean install of windows) and they only help for a day at most. Gotten the issue on 3 different wifi networks so Im confident its not the network issue. I suspect its an issue with the wifi adapter, but I'd just like other opinions before I do something like replacing it since I'd have to order one from overseas. Laptop is no longer under warranty so that's not an option for me. Does it seem like I need to replace the wifi adapter? Also would a usb wifi adapter work in its place? Thank you in advance for helping
