But I can make a few suggestions before you make it a warranty issue. Who knows if they forgot to plug in the antenna?
1. Change the channel in the router.
2. Take the router defaults and make ONE change. Use WPA security.
Good luck,
Bob
Hi there - I am desperately seeking your help!
About 2 weeks ago, I received a new Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with Windows 7. Since first running the laptop, I've had terrible wireless connections in my home. My previous laptop worked perfectly fine with the router I had and I never had such terrible coverage. I live in a townhouse so its not as if I have a huge place to roam with my computer.
The router is a Netgear WGR614 v8 wireless router. I've updated the firmware on the router and downloaded all recent updates for Windows 7 and still have terrible connections. I'm extremely frustrated, as even sitting 20 feet from my router, I only have 2 bars.
PLEASE can you help????
