Dell Inspiron 15 i5999 Intel-i5

Hey, guys!

My niece's birthday is just around the corner and she's an avid gamer. She mentioned she's dying to have a gaming laptop, but Alienware is too expensive for my taste AND it's too much for a 15 year old-- so is ASUS ROG. I wanted to know if Dell would be a decent alternative. Thanks!

I think you are asking about the Dell

With the 250GB SSD and 960M GPU. That does game. Plenty of reviews out there about it.

As long as it's not put on a soft surface (blocks cooling vents) I don't see a downside.

Got to second R/Proffitt on this. It doesn't really heat up easily, and makes for a really good companion for weekends spent alone -- think unlimited Iflix with Popcorn and buffalo wings on the side. It's got some pretty tight specs, even a 15-year old can't refuse.

Hi, Barb. Have you reached a decision yet. I'm quite excited for your niece. At this point, I'm kind of wishing I was her. Laugh
