Dell inspiron 1415

ok so i have a dell and i hook it up to my tv and all is well but when i set the setting to " do nothing on close lid and all i still cant get it to stay on while my laptop is closed i dont know what is going on but i woud like to also like to be able to wake my com without lifting the lid ..any help would be appitated Thanks

I agree with the makers disabling this feature. With the lid open there is some heat escape path and with it closed it should only go to sleep, hibernate or turn off.

If this is unacceptable, start the RMA process.
