Hi..I have a Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop...When I plug the charger into
the back of the laptop it feels loose when it is the connector..Also, I have to wiggle it to have it start charging...I wanted to know if anybody has had this problem before? Is the connector for the charger coming loose from the motherboard? If it is can it be repaired? Thanks

LAPTOP JACK REPAIR

Turns out there's quite an industry for this repair.

No.

As it's a jack and something I replace I can write that I never repair the jack. I just install a new one. The difference is subtle but you did ask.

Any decent technician can do this. The problem is that many owners are upset about the 2 hour shop charge.
