Dell inspirion 560

May 23, 2019 8:49AM PDT

Ok, so I’m trying to play a game called rust. I have a dell inspirion 560. I’ve upgraded its ram to 8gb (Max) and i’ve Added a amd HD 7750 graphics card and it’s still a choppy laggy mess. What can I do to make this thing work better. I don’t need cutting edge with the best graphics. However I’d like to be able to play without all the chop. I’ve read to do certain upgrades if need to change my psu and that wont be a problem. My question is, what upgrades can I do processor ect and what would I need to do to make this playable.

The 7750 is quite dated.

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti-vs-AMD-HD-7750/3649vsm7709 gives me an example against my go to GPU today.

The 1050 Ti does NOT require a large PSU. I've tested this many times.
I even measured and shared the results using a Watt Meter at:
https://www.cnet.com/forums/post/b662a1a0-11f1-4e59-9c40-9f9156c8ffab/

It shows about a max 173 Watt draw under load.

If you have a HDD in there, that can lead to chop as well. Especially those drives with high values in the SMART registers 01 and 07. I use Speccy to get at those values.
