Dear Proxy Girl,
Shouldn't be because of the system - probably fauly hard-drives. Just make them send you a replacement, don't even bother... It's their fault, not yours.
Has anyone heard anything about possible issues with bad hard drives in the Dell GX60 models? I work for a company that has bought several hundred of them and we are replacing hard drives on a daily basis. We are protected virus wise, and all patches on the xp machines have been completed. It seems like after a few weeks of use the hard drives are just dying. Any ideas? Anyone? Dell defends their equipment having any issues of course. They do send us the replacements, and the replacements seem to be ok thus far.
