<span style="color: rgb(7, 15, 20); font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, 'Nimbus Sans L', arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(243, 244, 246);">I'm not sure what it is that I need to upgrade my Dell Dimension 5150 desktops and I could use some advice. According to the software company (DVMAX Veterinary Software) I need to have an Intel Dual-Core 2.0 Ghz or higher processor, currently they have Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz. I just need to know what type of processor I can buy that would fit their requirements and work with my computers. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so very much for helping this less than tech savvy girl.

I am re-posting this as I cut and paste it from another page and the font did not work the first time. Hopefully this works and you can read it this time.

I would not change the CPU.

The usual Pentium 4 3.2GHz is one of the HT models and has 2 processing threads so that is as close as it gets to 2 cores.

Again, I would not change the CPU.
