Question

Dell desktop or laptop?

by mydreamtv / November 9, 2014 1:01 AM PST

Currently I have a Dell Inspiron 560 (desktop) & a Dell Inspiron (laptop). Both are 5-7 years old and are failing badly.
I'm satisfied with the Dell brand as I'm a casual user and use them for on line banking, surfing the web & ordering merchandise.
I want to dump both of them but I'm not sure what to buy, a laptop or desktop? I need a machine that will connect to my HP Photosmart C4795 wireless scanner, printer & copy machine.
Cost is factor.
Any suggestions would be helpful, I'm 66 years old & just don't know much about all the tech out there.

I forgot to mention a budget but to be honest, in my opinion this decision isn't based on price, it is based on what I will be comfortable with and then I'll try to find the best price for it.
I take it that your suggestion is a laptop, right? That's fine with me as long as I can still connect to my HP wireless printer/scanner/copier. I'm going to review the list you linked me to & go from there.
Thanks very much

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
