Dell DataSafe Online

I've been using the service since I bought my Dell Inspiron, Win7. I can't figure out how the backup is actually working. Is it backing up every file every time, or is it just backing up files changed (incremental) since the last backup ? I have files that may never change again, so I don't need to have them, backed up every time. Also, if the service is backing up everything, can I delete old copies ? I can't find answers to those in the HELP section.

External drives and SYNCBACK and/or GOODSYNC.

As time permits I'll be trying a POGOPLUG and keep an eye out for Dropbox alternatives such as http://www.syncany.org/
