Dell Can't send the correct part!!!!!!!

Hi, my graphics card in my computer has died and i called dell to get a new one, the rep sais its on its way!

2 days later purolator knocks on my door with a pakage from dell, YAY!
But when i open it the part inside is tottaly wrong!

So i call dell and i ask for manager. i get to the manager and he sais he is sorry and to not worry the correct part is on the way!

once again purolator knocks on my door and gives me a pakage from dell. so i open it and the part is wrong.

i call dell again and ask for a manager and explain my issue, but this time the manager dosn't beleive me and sais that i must be mistaken because the part is correct (when i know it isn't). anyway after a long time we end the call and i am stuck with a crap card.

For example many cards now ship with slower clock rates. Those Nvidia 8400, 8600 and MANY MANY others pulled the clock rate back because of failures in the field.

I can see how this would make you think you got the wrong card.

If Dell shipped a card that is a different make or model it might just be a matter of a superseded part.

Meaning they no longer ship the old card.

Maybe head over to Dell and see what they offer for drivers for this new card.

The main problem is that the new card can't do half the the things my old one could! Like all of the games I have won't run using this new card or the ones that do run have to be run at a lower resolution at a slower frame rate.

It's part of what happened because of card failures. They slowed down the card and what's truly sad is no Dell person will give you the news feed and explain it all to you.

I can't tell if this applies since you omitted all the good details. As this is not tech support it is up to you to tell all.
