I bought a new Dell Studio Mini-tower system with Vista a few weeks ago, was told my Dell 964 All In One, now 3 years old, was fully compatible, and wouldn't need to buy a newer one. Not so. Managed to get printer drivers from Dell tech support only by getting angry, since printer was "out of warrantee" and was told I would have to pay for that help. Anyway, printer, fax and copy functions work fine. But when i try to scan, on the printer screen get this: "dowloading scan appplications list from your computer. please wait." And then nothing happens. No Dell scan software appears on screen, of course. I have searched Dell site, dent thru device manager, all to no avail. I appear to have the latest drivers for this device. I need to scan, hoping for some help. Thanks
