Dell 942 A.I.O Printer Jams

Jul 14, 2006 12:42AM PDT

Hi,
I have a Dell 942 all-in-one Printer that just kicks the paper to one side every time you load it. All it says in the troubleshooting guide is to use less sheets of paper, it does it when just loading one sheet. Tried to get help from "All-Experts.com" but they suggested it was a jammed piece of paper in the rollers, nothing there. I've cleaned everything that I can get access to, short of taking it apart. I've looked at it and it seems whoever designed it doesn't want it taken apart without breaking it.Any help would be appreciated...Thanks...Tom M.

Arrange with Dell for exchange or repair.

These printers tend to only last a bit over a year. Be sure that you are not fighting a losing battle with an old printer. If under warranty, let them fix it.

"it seems whoever designed it doesn't want it taken apart without breaking it"

You're right. To reduce costs to a minimum, repair (the word and act) is removed from the design.
