Dell 700m Adaptor

Jun 14, 2009 11:41PM PDT

I have a dell 700m that is about 4 years old. Yesterday the adapter stopped functioning (the led no longer shines). It is a three prong PA-12 family adapter with model number PA-1650-05D2. We also have a Dell E1505 laptop with a two-prong PA-12 family adapter with model number DA65NS0-00. Would it be safe to use that adapter with my 700m until I can get a replacement? When I plug it in the batter charges, but I am afraid to turn it on in case of any possible damage. I am not sure what the voltages are as they are very different computers.

Thanks so much
