What is your opinions on the Dell Inspiron 6000 home version. I have heard both good and bad reviews and would like to know what you guys think. What screen is good for basic, websurfing, presentations, school work etc. I heard the Ultra sharp ones have had color problems. is that the case? Is the regular native screen decent? some suggestions opinions please...

Steve, I just bought the above about 5 days ago and I like it very much, the screen is charp and larger then I though. What I like is that I got it at Cosco online and have 6 months ( yes 6) to return it if I don't like it......go for it

Regular Native Screen

I have the regular native screen and it's very good. It's bright and sharp and I love it. I've also seen some nice ultrasharp ones . . . and they're very nice too, but I've seen some light variations on those that I don't have with mine.

The 6000 replaces my computer, the 8600, which is relatively portable but very powerful and is usable as your main computer . . .
