i have the surround sound for the dimensions 5000, but when i put the hardware in there is no sound, i also find that i have to un-install the software to allow me to use the speakers that i have. This means that when i start the computer up it asks me to install the software. any ideas as to what i could do to sort the problem !!

Explain exactly what hardware you are installing--a new sound card or new speakers. Then explain what sound card or integrated sound you have now and where the speakers are connected. 'Surround Sound' covers a lot of hardware.

i have found out that it is a dell home cinema system. I tried to install the drivers again and with limited success. I have the subwoofer, left and right speakers but still nothing from the other speakers in the system. There are 4 small speakers in total
