Dell 3110cn Color Laser Printer

Mar 18, 2010 3:09AM PDT

I am getting a shaded background on my paper, when I print it out from a Dell 3110cn Color Laser Printer.

What can be causing this? Is someone receiving a copy of my document, as to why it is printing out with a shaded background?

Try printing from another PC.

As to details you didn't reveal what App, web page or such so no one can guess that a print background or watermark is enabled or not.

I know to print from another printer. However, I do not understand as to why it started printing out with a shaded background and the words are not showing well either.

I called Dell tech support. I reset the printer and it did not help. Do you have any other suggestions?

I still feel someone has been tampering with the printer that I utilize.

Try printing from another computer. Not another printer BUT that's a good test anyway. The problem as stated sounds more like a failing printer but many owners will not want to troubleshoot these things. They just want it fixed and working.

Since you may be feeling that it needs to get fixed, arrange with Dell to have the printer looked at by a Dell person.
