deleting windows.old folder

Have installed win7 on laptop. Can I delete windows.old folder safely. This folder is huge (29 gig) really could use the space

If you're sure you won't want to go back to a previous version of Windows and that there's nothing else in that directory you want, then yes.

I did clean install of win 7 on new laptop (vista) Never did anything w/vista. Win 7 is doing ok, are there drivers or anything like that I should be aware of. thanks for your imput

The only drivers you need are the drivers your hardware requires....

Probably not, and that likely wouldn't be contained within that directory tree anyway. So, given these new facts, feel free to delete it at any time.
