deleting "Blocked Senders List" in Outlook express

I am using Outlook express 6 and I have a lot of e-mail addresses in my blocked sender list and I would like to delete them all. The only way I can find to delete them is one by one. Would somebody have an idea how I could delete them all at once?

Nope . . .

There is no batch available. One at a time is all there is.

Easily done BUT ...

you need to be aware that the blocked senders are stored in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{A04C7C9B-62B5-447D-8A73-C2824C7116A6}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Block Senders\Mail\Criteria

Each blocked sender will be in an individual numbered (like 000, 001, 002, 003, ..., 997, 998, etc.) sub key of that key and they can be deleted easily either by:

1. selecting the subkey and deleting it (slow but faster than the manual process within OE) or

2. by selecting that key and highlighting Criteria and then selecting the File Menu and Export and exporting the whole key as a reg file. Now right click n the exported reg file you just created and choose to EDIT it. At this point you can select everything you want deleted just as you would in any other text document. After editing the reg file you save it then double click and merge it back into the registry.

Here is an example ...

Here is a short sample of what the exported file will look like (the ONLY portion you should not delete is what I have bolded). The line immediately following the bolded portion should have the number of any deleted sub keys eliminated too (I italicised the middle two sub keys to indicate deleting them so I also italicised the corresponding key numbers in the Order value)-

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Important note ...

The original post including example was too large so I edited it then split the post and during that process I skipped a step.

AFTER editing the file to delete all of the Blocked Senders you want you need to DELETE the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{A04C7C9B-62B5-447D-8A73-C2824C7116A6}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\Block Senders\Mail\Criteria key BEFORE merging the edited file back into the registry.

Also, it is important to note that the identity ( {A04C7C9B-62B5-447D-8A73-C2824C7116A6} im this case) will most likely be a different number which I assumed you would know but just in case you didn't I am pointing that out now.

Enjoy!
