I use it. It's my most used utility. I've never had a problem with this program deleting anything of value or importance. It is very reliable. Just click OK when it asks if you want to back up.
If you're still skeptical, go into your registry and export it to a folder in my documents. You will then have a double back up, just in case.

Hello. I asked this question on CCleaner forum, but just got a generic answer. I understand what a ''shell'' is somewhat, and tried finding answers before posting.
I've deleted issues and backed up. Also used all listed apps since and they seem to work. I just wanted to know if these issues seemed normal, and not that CCleaner is mild but safe. Here is what I orignally asked:
''Hi, when I ''scan for issues'' I get the following:
Problem (6)---Open with Application Issues.
Data (6) Wordpad.exe\shell, Ad-Aware.exe\shell, AVGW.exe\shell, ZClient.exe\shell, PCDr32.exe\shell, UWCSMenu.exe\shell(utility cleaning prog).
RegKey(6) HKCR\Application\(above apps).
''Ok to delete these? I've searched around, but found no answer. Also been reading how safe this program is.''
Basic reply was "back it up, and program is safe". I realize I can do a backup, heck it asks if you want to. I'm no computer buff, but programs can goof. I was just concerned because of the Ad-Aware, AVG, and Zone Alarm. Oh Well.
Thanks Fred
