That said, you may want to download a trial version of the various pieces of recovery software that are out there, to see just what is recoverable.
Do not pay for anything until you see how they do.
I deleted some photos on my iPhone about a year and a half ago, and I was wondering if I could likely recover them at this point from the phone's unallocated space (they were also deleted from iCloud)? Or are they likely overwritten by now? They were photos of my ex and I, deleted during the break up, and now I sort of want them back for the memories.
If it helps, the iPhone is 16GB with about 10GB in use. I use the iPhone regularly (i.e. a lot of the day), mostly for internet access, calls, texts, apps, photos, etc.
P.S. For the record, I know how file deletion and recovery works on an actual PC and that they'd likely be unrecoverable by now due to overwriting, but I'm wondering if a smartphone's unallocated space somehow functions differently, and things are overwritten slower?
