deleted headers

I have a problem on office 2003 small business edition sp2. I used my PC for the first time in a few months and wanted to download gmail so that my pc had the same emails as my laptop. I realised that I didn't want to download all emails before my pc date of June 2006 so deleted about 7000 emails, then set gmail to download all emails, having done this I then deleted all of my gmails from gmail. Unfortunately I forgot I had enabled only headers to be downloaded on or above 1mb and when I came to delete them I am asked to mark to download or delete I then get the message from outlook it cant delete as the email was deleted from the server. There must be some way I can delete these emails form outlook please as i have about 2000 of them in my inbox and cant even move them to deleted or archive folder
