Are you sure, after reading the documentation that came with the app, that there is no way to selectively restore recovered files.
It is not good practice to restore files to the drive from which they were recovered and this may be the problem you are coming up against.
If you cannot find anything in the documentation, I would suggest a call to the Data Rescue people for guidance.
I wonder if you will now consider a backup strategy as you seem to use that computer for work purposes. 10.5 has a neat application called Time Machine which would have resolved you current problem in about 30 seconds.
Other solutions exist for other versions of the OS.
Just a thought

I was careless enough to delete an important folder on my desktop, lets' call it inbox for now, where all my current design projects are. I purchased Data Rescue II and run it. it says that it was able to retrieve 332GB of deleted files. My problem is, I only have a 320GB external drive, and it won't accept a drive smaller than the file-size retrieved. I was wondering if anyone could help me find a way to recover by date or by folder name? I only need that particular folder which is about 60GB in size.
Thanks!
