Just deleting the shortcuts doesn't uninstall the program. It just deletes the shortcuts.
The best thing to do in such cases usually is to reinstall the program (the pro version) and then find out how to do the 'official' uninstall. If it isn't in Control Panel, there might be an uninstall shortcut in Start>All Programs (I means Start>All Programs>Google Sketchup or whatever folder it makes. That's not a right click, and it has never been a right click either.
If that fails, do a System Restore back to before you installed the pro version.

I am not a technical genius hence why I was such a silly person.
I accidentally downloaded Google Sketchup 8 pro. I realised it would expire and then I would have to pay to register. So I decided to try and uninstall it. Because my computer is fairly new, I was unsure how to uninstall the program as on my old laptop you right clicked and the option was there.
So I deleted all the icons off my desktop, I even deleted from my start menu. I went to download the free version and it said it could not be downloaded because I already had pro installed.
So I went into my recycle bin and deleted it from there as well. Tried to redownload and same thing happened.
Someone then told me I uninstall programs via the control panel, however google Sketcup is no where to be found. I think I may have made an error.
Does anyone know how to find the program to uninstall it if I deleted any recollection of it?
