1. Please note that just above the text editor (where you enter a question on the forum) is the following paragraph, and if certain information is not present in your question, our reply may not be of much help:

Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution.

2. Give us the full details of that error as written on the monitor.

To answer your first question (that's an easy one) for Internet Explorer: go to Tools/Options, and on the firt tab you'll find buttons to clear your temporary Internet files (delete the offline items also) and to clear your history. You can also set the number of days the history must be saved (default is 20) and the size of the folder for the temporary Internet files.
Instructions for other browsers (like Netscape, Mozilla and Opera) are different.

Unless the number of files is extreme, this is not expected to make much difference in speed, nor solve your next problem.

By the way, you might it find useful to clear the \windows\temp folder also. That can easily be done from Windows Explorer. Set the program to detail view, sort on date, and you can safely delete everything up to yesterday. Use shift-del, or you'll overflow the Recycle Bin.

Your other problem is more difficult. Does it only happen with when typing in the address www.yahoo.com? Can you open all other pages on the Net without problems? As Cursorcowboy asked, also give the full error message.
