Delete an invalid email from my Apple ID

I cannot get my old email address from my Apple ID as the primary.... my new email address is shown as alternative. The site won't let me edit or delete either. When they said they would send me instructions they were sent to my Yahoo mail and I never received them. I wonder why they were not sent to my "alternative" address? Can someone help me? Below is the problem. Thanks, Old Granny Lola

Is your alternative email address the one you want to...

use as you primary address?

If that's the case, you have to remove or use another email address as your alternative email address. Then you can change your "Primary" email address to the one you want.

Is that the case?

Also if you are using iCloud email address and

want to make that your "Primary" email address, I don't think that is possible. Your primary email address has to be something other than an iCloud email address.

I hope this helps, Lola.
