I schedule a CHKDSK on the next boot. Here's an article about that. But first, be sure to unplug all USB things, printers and drives that are connected to USB.

This was the error message i got when all I was doing was choosing a chess piece to move in a chess game as i always do.This started happening about 2 days ago.I had to use the on/off button on the computer then start it again..Then things worked all right again. The normal way to turn off or restart the computer didn't work. The rectangles showed up but the words restart, turn off and the other one weren't there. The same with the 'start' in the lower left hand corner of the screen. The rectangle was there but the word start wasn't.I wasn't trying to save a file.As I said i was just picking the chess piece i wanted to move. This happened to me twice so far in two days.I ran malwarebytes and it found some things that i eliminated so i hope this stops happening. The message said it could be a hardware failure so i am worried that this old lenovo M52 8212 might be seeing its last days. What do you think?
