As far as I know, Firefox add-ons are only activated if you start Firefox. Like add-ons for IE are only activated if you start IE. So your problem isn't clear to me.
The best way for a fast start, by the way, is to NOT start. Wake-up from hibernate is considerably faster. That is what I do. Why boot if it isn't necessary?

I have the latest stable release of FX:16. 0.2.and I noticed in my CCleaner that some add-ons cannot be disabled from the startup. I want to have these start after the Operating System (Win XP):Microsoft Net Framework Assistant, IM translator, Translate this, Yet another smooth scrolling. I want them to become active after MS XP begins. Can you please suggest a strategy? My overall goal is a VERY fast start. I use msconfig ruthlessly, defrag regularly, and have applied all relevant tips I could discover. ADVISE. Many thanks to anyone who answers.
