Delay

Feb 20, 2004 9:31PM PST

I find that this one PC will have a delay,
when moving the mouse the pointer will take a few seconds to keep up with the mouse, also anything
one clicks on takes a few seconds for it to do anything, sometimes the whole systems will freeze for a few seconds, I have tryed a defrag, scan disk nothing seems to help, even a reboot does not help
most of the time.

Tell more about the machine and if your machine is pest and parasite free.

A little history or story will help too. As is, with what's provided, no real direction can be offered.

The parasites are often an issue.

The term parasites is a little wider ranging so to include not only virus, trojan and worms, but spyware, adware, malware and other pests. Your antivirus will not deal with such because "it's not a virus."

The words in quotes above reveal you didn't read the link provided and while I'd love to see you succeed, I wish you the best of luck in you issue, if you don't read supplied links and do some research on your own, I fear your machine may land in some service shop.

I think you'll be a little amazed.

At what pests that download as you browse the internet. Another term is called "drive-by downloaders." These are very annoying softwares that are not considered viral since we agree to download and install them. I rarely see such an agreement presented, but it's an ongoing issue with Windows...

I apologise if my last reply was in any way disparaging. Your success in this is important since for every person who learns about these pests, it's a given that they'll tell a few others.

In the end, more people win the prize of not having to visit a service shop.
