Defrag

I just installed a D-Link 624 and starting sharing the cable connection with my daughter's computer. We are both using XP (mine Pro / hers Home). Everything is fine until I tried to defrag using Diskkeeper. Trying to defrag a second drive on my computer, the prograrm hangs for what seems forever and won't finish. I've started the computer in the safe mode and I get the same results. I didn't have this problem before the network and I'm sure I have no viruses (AVG and online Housecall) or spyware (Ad-Aware and Spybot).

Suggestions?

I have the same setup as you, D-link and diskeeper. Network from xp pro and home. did you try a boot defrag? It always hangs on me. Just hit escape to end diskeeper and defrag from desktop.
