Deflection settings in the Samsung CS29Z57 UltraSlim Fit TV

by blessingmahomva / August 7, 2010 12:30 AM PDT

I recently purchased a Samsung CS29Z57 TV, the picture tends to bend upwards towards the right edge of the screen. I have read forums on how to change the deflection settings in the service menu (SM) to correct the picture geometry.
I have managed to go into the service manu: info>menu>mute>power; but I am failing to navigate through the menu because every time i press the up or down keys on the remote the tv responds by changing the channels instead of navigationg through menu hence I can't go to the Deflection settings.

Am I doing anything wrong?

Deflection settings in the Samsung CS29Z57 UltraSlim Fit TV

blessingmahomva,

Unfortunately, I can't assist with service menu issues. I'd recommend having the set inspected, particularly if there's an issue with geometry or deflection.

Deflection settings in the Samsung CS29Z57 UltraSlim Fit T

Hi HD Tech,

Thank you for your response, I have found out from other forums that this issue is a design problem on these flat screen tvs hence I returned the unit. I have decided to buy a Full HD LCD TV instead.
