1. DVR+RW finalization is suppose to be automatic, does this mean I can record any more? if I only record short tities does this mean it finalizes each time or at the end of the completion of the disk? instead.

2. Recording Mode in VR, how do I check if my recording is in this mode? I had issues with this mode, and how to control this? .

3. How do I check for Dual Layer? when buying a DVD recorder?
Thanks

Optical media and what happens depends on devices, settings and more.

2. Can't tell. Maybe this is in some DVD Video recorder but I would be guessing. Time to find the manual.

3. From my experience.
a. All PC recorders do this. Only very old drives don't.
b. Don't use DL. It's less compatible with say DVD/BR players.

1.Once it has been finalized. You cannot add anymore but you can reuse that disc by reformat it.

2. VR mode..I got to look that one up before I can answer, hehe.

3. Check the spec. of the DVR before you buy but I think most if not all modern DVR are capable of doing that.

If my reading is correct, when you are using rewritable disc, you would be using VR mode.
