As to which is best, I see a problem.

Both complete and provide the network so both get the job done and as such both are "best."

But if you need outdoor or direct burial cables, you install that. At the end of the day, both work.

Network Cabling in Indoor and Outdoor Environments
Sep 21, 2017 10:43AM PDT

There are a number of types of network cables for indoor and outdoor networking. They are the following. CAT5 or CAT6 cables are good for Ethernet connections in indoor areas. For outdoor networking, the enhanced versions of CAT5 and CAT6 Ethernet cables are recommended. CATe and CAT cables differ in the level of protection from interference. Thus, a CAT5e or CAT6e cable would be less prone to outside interference. Any outdoor cable for network connections should be buried. Also, in places where frost occurs during Winter, buried cable below the frost line tend to last longer.

Odd about your interference issues.

Physics saves us from interference here. Why? I don't know what you know here. The twist in the pairs cancels out EMI. There are cable sales folk that just don't know this and will pitch the higher cable price and well, lie.

CAT6 network cables can handle more bandwidth than CAT5 cables. Any network cabling through an Ethernet connection requires CAT6 or greater cabling. Greater durability is held by CAT6e Ethernet cables due to enhanced shielding of the wires from interference. CAT6e cables can be purchased from computer stores.

Don't fall for nonsense.

In an old building with twisted pair cables at 2+ decades old, ONLY the rip off companies will oversell folk. Don't get a bad reputation by using plenum when it's not called and artificially running up the bill.
