You'll have to set them up each time as there is no standard here. That is in Windows there is no global setting for this. As printer makers supply drivers they are all over the map here. One printer control panel does not look like the next.
I have a pc/Windows XP system and use various HP printers. Most of the documents I print are for my own use, and therefore can be printed at the lowest quality (fast-draft). But the printers seem to default all over the place, mostly to normal quality, and sometimes to high quality. Everyone once and a while, they will default to fast-draft.
Is there a way to have all of my printers default to fast-draft to make printing faster and use less ink? Thanks.
