There are a number of ways

1] Check Nero's options. There should be an option for file association and if there is, uncheck everyone that you don't want Nero to associate with, then

In WMP. Tools > Options and the File types tab, check, (or re-check if Nero has superseded them), the file types you want WMP to be associated with.

The other option is to find any file of a specific type, eg an mp3, right click it and find and choose "Open with", then (in XP) Choose program. In the window that opens, click the box which says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", then choose your program from the list.

You could do this with every type of media program you wanted to change.

"You could do this with every type of media program you wanted to change" should read;

"You could do this with every type of media file you wanted to change"

I went to tools within WMP, and the clicked on options under tools, but no file tab was there. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks
