Are you going to Favorites | Organize Favorites and deleting them? After you do that, they go away and you don't need to reboot. If that doesn't work contact me at thesinger@comcast.net.

Yes. I do not reboot at that time. Normally after i download some MS updates at that time i reboot and there they are again.

It started about 8 months ago. Possibly after downloading a MS update, just a guess.

Thanks for your help. Any other suggestions?

Favorite Folders not saved after Outlook Close
Apr 20, 2007 1:45AM PDT

I am having the same problem. When I start, I add several folders to my Favorite Folders (I want quick access to about 10 of my 300+ folders and search folders). When I close Outlook and re-open (No system shutdown, no sleep mode), my favorites are gone.

Possible contriubuting factor - My office is running an Exchage Server?

Any clues as to how to save / pin the favorites?

OS = Windows Vista (AAARGH!!!)Business, Version 6.0.6000 Build 6000

There is also the WMP 11 issue.
Apr 20, 2007 5:30AM PDT

If you are using the latest Microsoft releases some of them have annoying to some habits like this. WMP 11 in it's default setting will move files and rename them. This can have some owners thinking a virus is on their machine.

As you have presented this it looks like what IE would do.

Outlook folders disappeared
Aug 6, 2007 1:46AM PDT

Hello All,
Any fixes for this problem of Outlook folders flying away each time my father-in-law closes down? He's running a new machine with all the bells and whistles and it is driving him crazy.

Appreciate your reply.
