I have recently installed a new PC with Win XP and MS Office. I store my address book in Outlook 2003 Contacts. When I wish to call up an address in Word 2003, I get an error message saying that my address book is not accessible unless I make Outlook my default email handler. When I do this, the address book in Word works OK. I have been using Outlook Express (now version 6) quite happily for several years and am reluctant to change.
