A dedicated server just means it's only real duty is to run that particular program. Normally, servers will run multiple different services. But in the case of Windows, the GUI will still be there. At the very least, you need some sort of a configuration method. It could be a direct connection to the system, or the old tried and true Unix method of SSHing into the box, or something else.
Hello Everyone,
Am New To This Messageboard. Am also new to web designing. Hope you guys would help.
I have bought a voice communication software for my website. Am planning to install it on a dedicated server. The software has instructions saying to run a file to configure it. The file is an EXE extension. I dont get this. How can you run EXE file on a dedicated server to configure it? why a dedicated server is better than a regular one? Its my first time planning to buy a dedicated server so dont mind my newbie mistakes.
Thanks
M
