Oh yeah, and how good is the firewall on a router?
I know it has something called SSL and File Transfer Protection (FTP), but what does that protect me from? I heard that because a dedicated IP address is static or does not change that it is easier for hackers, once they find that address, to get in as it never changes. If that's true, it seems to defeat part of the purpose of being safer?
If I get one, would I still need a firewall wall and extra protection programs such as Norton or McAfee or AVG?
