The Kodak Z915 has been a real sleeper.
I have seen it advertised for around $150.
It can easily compete with the Sony H20.
Picture quality is very good on both.
Digital zoom should never be used, it reduces the quality of the image.
Digital magnification is a variation of digital zoom, whereby you use less megapixels and also should not be used.
If you want to do digital zoom or magnification, do it with software (crop).
That way you get better results and you have better control.
Plus you always have the full megapixel original photo.
Optical zoom means good quality zooms.
I figured this would be the place to ask which would best camera to get.
My first choice was the second one, till i saw this kodak. I'm not a fan of kodak aesthetically, but when i compared the two, i wasn't sure which one was the best.
its between the Kodak EasyShare 10.0-Megapixel Model: Z915 or the Sony Cyber-shot 10.1-Megapixel Model: DSC-H20
which one would be the best??
And why do they have both digital magnification and digital zoom on the comparison column?? whats the difference? One is a 40x digital zoom with a 2x magnification (sony) and the other is a 5x digital zoom with a 5x magnification.
Also, whats the difference between digital and optical???
Thanks!
