decent gaming laptop that can serve as my school laptop

I am looking for a laptop that can be used as a gaming laptop and a laptop for my college purposes. I dont need top end quality hardware for gaming (although I wouldn't mind, I just dont want to pay so much) but I would like hardware that is really good. I dont want to spend more than about $1500 and I dont want a huge laptop either, something in the 15-16 inch range.

Any suggestions?
