failed. Replace it with one of maybe50 watt or so higher rating. I have no idea why everyone seems to expect every failure to damage the hard drives. That is one of the least likely scenarios due to power failure.
I need some assistance with this one. I am running windows xp, I was having some internet issues so I rebooted my system. Then the system would not turn back on, power supply would not work and no lights on the motherboard or anywhere else.The power supply is dead completely. I tried to use the main hard drive in another unit and it crashed that unit as well. Could a virus have caused this and could I possibly save my dual hard drive a 200gb samsung and 40gb western digital. This pc is a 1.7 gig or am I looking to purchase a new one. Is there anything worth keeping. Thanks for your help.
