Question

DDR2 High Density Ram (AMD ONLY) Apparently

Sep 12, 2017 3:17PM PDT

Hello guys first of all let me begin by saying that i pretty much know nothing about PCs and hardware.I was wondering,i currently have 2x2 GB DDR2 in my PC.I want to upgrade to 2x4 DDR2.Thing is those rams are really expensive and i don't have the money to buy them.I can try my luck with those AMD Only chinese rams on ebay because they are pretty cheap. The thing with those is that in the description it says that they are high density.

My motherboard is : P41-ES3G (Socket 775)

I have no idea how to determine if my motherboard will be compatible with these rams,i tried reading forums and a lot of other stuff like QVL but couldn't find anything. What do you guys think? Can anyone with knowledge check this motherboard and inform me if it will be compatible? Because even when i read i can' understand some stuff lol Silly Anyone ever tried using these RAMs? Will my motherboard be compatible with High Density? Some people said that these rams worked with them but i can't be sure.At the end of the day i might just go for them because they are really cheap and try them, but just wanna ask people with more knowledge because i'm a noob.

Sorry if i blabbed for too long, thanks a lot!

They could hold more RAM but the RAM cost more than what we could get complete laptops.
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6A35CV8466 were 125.89USD to our office door. We bought 2 and moved the oldest out to the free area.

There are more out there like that so once you get past some number of years it's best to not upgrade but replace.

READ THE SPECCY. DO NOT UPGRADE.
4,00GB Dual-Channel DDR2

That's spot on the right amount of ram for that era machine. If you want speed, don't add ram. Replace the HDD with SSD and game on.

You can certainly try it.
Check the return policy.
Another option is to not load so much stuff.
Most folks have a bunch of unneeded stuff loaded and running.
